Hi, I'm Mārtiņš - a nutrition coach, and I live a real, imperfect life!
My everyday life is a constant challenge - 4 small children, an intensive job, and inherent difficulties with concentration. But guess what? Despite all these challenges, I am still healthy, slim, and know how to achieve maximum results with minimal effort.
My diet also includes snacks daily, I skip workouts, and I get less sleep than I need.
Access
My approach is based on three simple but effective principles:
- an individual approach to each person, because there is no one-size-fits-all solution
- research-based recommendations, discarding solutions that gained short-term popularity but are ineffective
- and a focus on sustainable, long-term changes, not quick, short-term results
I teach people how to eat. Because, let's be honest, diets and meal plans don't teach that. What do they teach? Following a diet or meal plan without a deeper understanding. But understanding is exactly what is needed. Because without understanding, it's like driving a car without knowing even the basic rules.
Goals
My main goal is not only to improve your nutrition and health, but also to change your relationship with food and exercise. I want food to become your ally, not an enemy, so that eating brings joy, so that movement is pleasant, not stressful. I believe that only a harmonious relationship with food and fitness leads to long-term results. And croissants :)
I have created nutrition programs and challenges that have been appreciated by more than 14,000 of my clients in Latvia and Lithuania. I constantly update my knowledge, which I share with others. I regularly conduct lectures, write articles and create educational content.
I explain the principles of balanced eating and movement in an understandable language and delve into the psychological aspects of eating.
Kruasāni
Pats nepaļaujos tikai uz viena avota ieteikumiem, esmu skeptisks, pārbaudu visus iespējamos faktus, un tas man ir ļāvis izprast to, kas ir svarīgi un kas vienkārši ir labs mārketings. Veselīga ēšana nav sarežģīta, pats nesekoju kādai diētai, bet ēdu sev, ģimenei un apkārtējiem ērti.
Pagātnē esmu piedzīvojis ne tikai lieko svaru, bet arī nopietnu autoimūno saslimšanu (Greivsa slimību), migrēnas lēkmes un regulārākas ikdienas galvassāpes, alerģijas un sliktu kopējo pašsajūtu, nevēlēšanos neko darīt, neuņēmību, tāpēc zinu uztura nozīmi un ietekmi. Šī pieredze man ļauj labāk izprast to, kam iet cauri mani klienti, tāpēc neizmantoju standarta frāzes par motivāciju un saņemšanos, zinot, ka lielākajai daļai tās neko nenozīmē.
Ģimenē ēdam normāli, mīlu kruasānus, kolu un labu sidru, sportoju veselībai, mēdzu izlaist gan ēdienreizes, gan treniņus, gan aiziet gulēt vēlāk, gan paslinkot. Esmu vienkāršs cilvēks - tāds pats kā tu, neesmu visu dzīvi dzīvojis sporta zālē vai perfektā pasaulītē.
